• $28 million Federal Court verdict against the U.S. Navy for causing Cerebral Palsy (San Diego)
  Court's Opinion
• $6 million settlement against large HMO for twins with Cerebral Palsy
  In this case, the doctors failed to properly monitor a twin pregnancy. As a result the twins were born prematurely and developed cerebral palsy. (See “From the Desk of Bruce J. Klores” for updates on preventing prematurity)
• $3.5 million settlement for an obstetrician's mismanagement of pregnancy
  During the course of our client's pregnancy, the obstetrician failed to recognize and manage placenta previa. This failure led to a traumatic delivery of a pre-term baby causing cerebral palsy.
• Two cases involving negligent management of term labor; each settle for $3.5 million
  In one case the medical residents taking care of a mother failed to recognize and properly manage fetal distress. The second was a Federal Tort Claims Act case (Nevada). Both children developed brain damage and cerebral palsy.
