Iliac Arteries
Vessels that carry oxygenated blood away from the heart to the legs and feet.

Informed Consent
Informed consent is the process by which a physician advises a patient about his or her treatment. Depending upon state laws, a physician might have the obligation to tell the patient his or her diagnosis, proposed treatment or surgery, the reason for the treatment or surgery, the possible complications, the likelihood of success, alternative treatment options, and the risks to the patient if he or she does not undergo the treatment/surgery.
Some states state that a patient has the right to tell his or her doctor that he or she does not want to be told of the risks and benefits of medical treatments.
A patient also has the right to decide not to accept medical treatment after he or she has been told the risks and benefits. The patient may also have the right to decide that he or she does not want to be told of any potential risks of medical treatment.
A medical professional must provide information a reasonable person in the patient's position would want to know to be able to make an informed decision regarding reasonably appropriate alternative treatments or procedures. Failure to do so could result in lawsuits for battery or tort.
Injury
Injury or bodily injury is damage or harm caused to the structure or function of the body caused by an outside agent or force, which may be physical or chemical. Personal injury also refers to damage caused to the reputation of another rather than physical harm to the body. A severe and life-threatening injury is referred to as a physical trauma.

Interpleader
When two parties are involved in a lawsuit over the right to collect a debt from a third party. The third party is willing to pay the debt but does not know how to distribute the money between the two parties. The debtor deposits the funds with the court, asks to be dismissed by the court from the lawsuit and lets the claimants fight over it in court.
Interrogatories
These are formal written questions that a litigant puts forward for the opposing party to answer under oath. They help to clarify matters of evidence and help to determine in advance what facts will be presented at any trial in the case.

The use of lines and catheters to perform imaging studies of the caridiovascular system and therapeutic procedures such as angioplasty or the placement of stents.
Ischemia
Insufficient supply of blood and oxygen to an area of the body; often results from constriction or obstruction of the arterial blood supply leading to hypoxia in the tissue.
