Professional Negligence

Professional negligence laws deal with situations in which a person has represented themselves as having above average knowledge or skills in a field. Bruce J. Klores & Associates represents those individuals and families that have suffered damages due to the negligence of a professional they put their trust in. In a professional negligence case, the attorney must have knowledge of the standard of skill and care that any reasonably competent, trained person would follow when acting under the same or similar circumstances. They must prove that the defendant did not follow this standard of care and, as a result, directly or indirectly caused injury to the plaintiff.

Such cases almost always require expert testimony from individuals knowledgeable about the standard of care in a given field. Mr. Klores, himself, is often asked to testify as an expert witness in legal malpractice cases because of his solid and thorough understanding of the standards of care for lawyers.
