David W. Bobb, both a pharmacist and an attorney, has for the past 15 years worked exclusively in the federal government pharmacy sector and currently provides oversight of pharmacy, medical laboratory, nutritional medicine and research services at a major military medical facility. He is well known throughout the federal pharmacy career field as a pharmacy law lecturer and is frequently called upon by Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard pharmacists when potential medical-legal liability issues arise. He also authors a column, "Legal Capsules," for publication in the Journal of Air Force Pharmacy and has developed over 20 accredited pharmacy law continuing education programs. His field of expertise is pharmacy negligence and malpractice law.
Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Mr. Bobb graduated from Ohio Northern University's Raabe College of Pharmacy in 1977. While at Ohio Northern, he was selected as a member of the Rho Chi Academic Honor Society in Pharmacy. After graduation, he began a long and distinguished career as a pharmacist in both community and hospital pharmacy. From his start at a "mom and pop" corner drug store, he also served as a district manager for a large national retail pharmacy chain where he was responsible for the management of 26 pharmacies producing over $50 million in annual sales.
Mr. Bobb graduated from the University of New Hampshire School of Law in 1983, specializing in medical malpractice and intellectual property law. While there, he also served as student editor of Idea: The Journal of Law and Technology. Mr. Bobb is a member of the American Bar Association, San Antonio Bar Association, American Pharmacists Association and the American Society for Pharmacy Law. He is married to the former Pamela Jones, and has one son, Alexander.
